PARADISE BEACH X REJOY - ATHLETE STORY
From Paradise to the Podium
Martin Gallardo doesn't train at altitude. He doesn't have endless mountains. He has wind, heat, discipline, and a daily decision to push a little further.
An Island.
A Family.
A World Stage.
My name is Martin. I live in Cozumel — an island where people come to relax. I came here to build. Here I started my family. Here I work. And from here I train to compete at a world level.
No altitude camps. No endless mountain roads. What I have instead: Caribbean wind, equatorial heat, stubborn discipline, and a decision made every single day to go a little further than yesterday.
"It's not about going back to being who I was. It's about becoming a better person."

2024
Believing Again.
Back to the Fire.
2024 was a year of reconnection. I came from years where sport was still present, but without real structure. A lot of natural ability, but little consistency. A lot of competition, but little balance.
I decided to train with intention again. That year I competed in endurance events that reminded me of something very clear: my body was still strong, but my mind needed to find its direction.
It wasn't the year of titles. It was the year of believing again.

THE SHIFT
What Changed
Before, I ran for the adrenaline rush. Today, I train for identity.
Being a father, husband, and working professional changed the way I see sport. It's no longer an escape. It's a tool. Sport organizes my mind, keeps me humble, and reminds me that greatness is built on the unseen.
I no longer compete solely for performance. I compete for example. For my family. To prove that it's possible to build a family, work a career, and push your limits — all at the same time.
2026 - THE DESERT
100 Miles.
19 Hours.
Desert.
This year I decided to push limits beyond the Ironman. I ran one of the toughest, most transformational races in the world: the 100-mile Marathon des Sables.
19 hours and 30 minutes of running. Literally 100 miles of desert to think and connect with my body and mind.
That race wasn't just physical. It was mental. It was spiritual. There were moments my body wanted to stop. But that's exactly where identity emerges.
"The most valuable thing wasn't crossing the finish line first. It was discovering that now I compete from a different place — with family waiting for me, with real responsibilities, with a purpose greater than a trophy."
POWERED BY
Hydration Built For This
Every long day in the Cozumel heat. Every bike leg in Panama. Every mile of the Sahara. My hydration protocol had to be as disciplined as my training. That's where REJOY Instant Hydration became non-negotiable.
REJOY delivers +1500 electrolytes per serve — zero sugar. That's five times the electrolytes you'd get from sports drinks, with none of the crash. Certified by Informed Sport, so I know exactly what's going in my body on race day.
When you're 80 miles into a desert race, or 5 hours deep in an Ironman bike leg, electrolyte depletion isn't just about performance — it affects every neuron, muscle, and heartbeat. REJOY keeps that system firing.

Why Electrolytes Matter
The sodium-potassium pump powers every neuron, muscle, and heartbeat. When you deplete electrolytes through sweat — especially in heat and humidity like Cozumel's — your body sends feedback signals: thirst, cramping, fog.
REJOY's formula is built to replenish what you lose with more salt, and without sugar spikes. More energy. Less cravings. Zero fog. No cramps.
This is why I trust it not just for race day, but every training session. Recovery starts with what you put in.
WHAT's NEXT
The Next Cycle:
2026–2027
The next phase isn't just about competing. It's about evolving.
2026
Consolidate my best Ironman version. Seek podium finishes in the most beautiful races on the planet. Explore the ultra trail world further — with family trips to unique places. Maintain true balance between business, family, and high performance.
2027
Competing in an Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii — a dream trip for the whole family, this time at my absolute best. Potentially an iconic 100-mile ultra like UTMB in France. And continuing to represent Paradise Beach as an athlete who embodies lifestyle, discipline, and purpose.
"High performance and quality of life aren't mutually exclusive. Training in a place where others come to disconnect reminds me of that every single day."
